Seems like everyone has constipation these days.  Having constipation means that you are not having a bowel movement everyday.  Technically, not having atleast 3 times a week is constipation.  However, for optimal health if you eat everyday you should eliminate everyday.  Sometimes the stool is hard and lumpy which makes it hard to eliminate, or having to straining to eliminate.  These can cause pain with bowel movements, cause tears in the anal area, and can also cause hemorrhoids.

When you are constipated for a period of time, the stool remains in the colon longer than necessary and can result in a bigger mid-section and backache.  At times, you may be able to have a bowel movement but do not feel complete emptying- the ‘aaah’ feeling after a bowel movement or may have smearing on the undergarments after bowel movements.  Maybe you experience stool leakage, there may be smearing, causing embarrassing social situations.

These may be common but not normal.  Due to change in our diet and sedentary lifestyle, these may seem inevitable.  It does not have to be.  Sandy is an expert at treating these problems.  Contact Sandy for a comprehensive evaluation and treatment and get back on track.
